How to verify interest, SAC, Price and thirteenth-salary simulations
A calculator reproduces its inputs. Check units, term, deductions and total cost before making a decision.
Financial simulators help explore scenarios, but a result with two decimals is not automatically a proposal, payroll statement or contract value. Rates, terms, rounding and dates can change it.
Record every input, confirm each rate unit and compare the output with an official document or independent source before accepting a commitment.

Align rates and periods
A monthly rate belongs to monthly periods. An annual rate cannot always be divided by twelve when the contract uses compound equivalence. Label every input with its unit and convert it before simulation.
For compound interest, each period incorporates return or cost into the balance. Verify a simple case with known principal before adding deposits, grace periods or fees.
Compare SAC and Price across the full flow
In basic Price amortization, payments remain level while interest and principal shares change. Under SAC, principal amortization tends to be constant and payments decline. Compare the same amount, rate and term.
Inspect first and last payments, total interest, cumulative amortization and the effective cost disclosed by the lender. Insurance, fees, taxes and contract dates may be absent from a generic calculator.
Separate gross and net payroll estimates
Months worked, variable compensation, leave, advances, social contributions and tax can change Brazil’s thirteenth salary. Treat the calculator as an estimate and compare it with payroll documents and current rules.
Do not use a generic result alone to allege a labor error. Gather dates and line items and seek clarification from the employer or a qualified professional.
Run an independent check
The Central Bank Citizen Calculator documents future-value and fixed-payment methods. It is useful for comparison, but its result still depends on inputs.
Save amount, rate, unit, term and test date. If tools differ, first inspect rounding, rate conversion, payment timing and included costs.
Final checklist
- Label every rate and period.
- Compare scenarios with identical inputs.
- Review total cost, not only payment.
- Separate estimates from contracts or payroll.
- Confirm important decisions independently.
