The new alphanumeric CNPJ
From 2026, Brazil's Receita Federal issues CNPJs with letters and numbers in the first 12 positions, keeping 2 numeric check digits. This tool validates both formats.
How validation works
We compute the check digits with the Module 11 algorithm. It confirms the number's structure is correct but does not query the company's registration status.
